US Navy vet, and illegal immigrant, now detained by ICE

“Thousands of veterans, men and women in our military who served our country, have been deported as illegal immigrants.  You may want to help U.S. Navy veteran John Ferron fight deportation.  John is the father of eight U.S. born children.  A petition is at: http://www.change.org/petitions/please-release-john-ferron-from-eloy-detention-center.

According to Christina Fialho of Community Initiatives for Visiting Immigrants in Confinement (CIVIC):

John is on[…] a hunger strike at the Eloy Detention Center, a for-profit immigration detention center in Eloy, Arizona. He has no attorney, and he suffers from Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, and Adjustment Disorder. We are asking the U.S. government to grant this veteran of the Vietnam War the dignity to mount a strong case in his defense from outside the detention facility walls. Please sign this petition to show your support for John and the thousands of U.S. veterans who have been detained and deported:  http://www.change.org/petitions/please-release-john-ferron-from-eloy-detention-center.
