And remind those women whose belief in Islam is settled,
to lower their gaze rather than to stare, so as to guard their modesty with shyness in public places, and to
protect their privacy with respect, and
not to show off, neither their beauty or their jewels, excepting that which is obvious and is the acceptable manner of modest folk, and
so as not to admit their feminine beauty
except
among their husbands,
or their fathers,
or their husband’s fathers,
or their sons,
or their husband’s sons,
or their brothers or their brother’s sons,
or their sister’s sons,
or their sisters within Islam
or their female servants whom they hire in fairness and pay in a righteousness way,
or among old male servants who lack both vigour and interest in carnal matters
or among small children who have no sense of sexual matters.
And one more reminder: let women not bring attention to those jewels which they hide in private. : )
And all of you- men and women alike- turn together to Allah in repentance, that you may know success.
